Paul has spent the past decade volunteering his time on multiple boards throughout the community to help make a difference. He currently sits as:
- Board President For Upper Pine River Fire District
- Board President for the Pine River Conservation District
- Board President of the Schroder Irrigation Ditch Company
- Board Member on the Los Pinos Irrigation Ditch Company
Personal and Professional
Paul, his wife, and both of their children were born at Mercy Medical Hospital and raised right here in La Plata County.
He began his career as a Firefighter/EMT for Upper Pine Fire Department before transitioning into farming, ranching, and raising a family. His wife is a Fort Lewis College Alumni, recipient of the Durango Young Professional of the Year Award. Together they own multiple businesses that benefit and serve the people of this community.
Paul Black has spent his career making La Plata County a better place. He wants to continue that by becoming the County Commissioner for District 3.
